mind your SPIRIT

mind your SPIRIT

If it’s your first time reading, this year’s blog series for Chapter 34 is all about minding my business (whatever pertains to me).

The third install of the blog is dedicated to minding my SPIRIT, my spirit wo(man) that is.

I was in a backslidden state for a couple of months in this chapter… no real prayer life, not reading the Bible, no church attendance for weeks, ignoring the Holy Spirit, instant gratification, revengeful… if I could sum it up I was simply a hot mess…

I was not minding my sprit, pretty much living in my flesh…

Oh but you already know God came through right (and did)… listen ya’ll there’s always light at the end of the tunnel. I like to share the good, bad and the ugly because life happens… we all deal with things differently but I share my encounters in hopes that someone will be encouraged and keep pressing. Hearing others testimonies have always given me a hope when I needed it most. Just thought I’d let you know that you gone hear about how God brought me out or you’ll hear how He’s going to… I just know He always makes it all work together for the good.

(ok so let me get back on track, that wasn’t in my original write up lol)

…minding mySELF, led me to mind my HEART while simultaneously minding my SPIRITuality - God was mending all of these at once.

This year I got my first tattoo(s), yes after 34 years of living I decided to get a few tattoos. I had finally gotten over my fear of needles after having my youngest, if I can get an epidural I can get a tattoo lol!!! One of my favorite stories in the Bible is when Jesus heals the woman with the issue of blood while on His way to heal a little girl. When Jesus made into the room with the little girl he says “Talitha Koum” which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up” Mark 5:41 NIV — I decided to have that tatted on my arm as a reminder that it was Jesus that took me by the hand and said little girl get up and I rose from a dead place.

Mind your SPIRIT, because honey living a life in stagnation ain’t it…

Peace, love, happiness, and obedience!
