mind your HEART

mind your HEART

“Flowing from my heart, are the issues of my heart… it’s gratefulness…”

That song by Hezekiah Walker is one of my all time favorite Gospel songs… it reminds me that I have so much to be grateful for - regardless of the issues I carry within, I still choose gratefulness.

If this is your first time reading, this year’s blog series for Chapter 34 is all about minding my business (whatever pertains to me).

The second install of the blog is dedicated to the HEART, my heart.

I needed to mind my heart in this season in ways I was oblivious to, until I almost lost it all.

“Never say never” type stuff that have you questioning life all together.

In 2020 and 2021 the issues of my heart had to be dealt with, whether I was ready or not. I was headed down a rocky road which led me back in counseling… because it’s ok to need Jesus and a therapist.

Ya’ll I almost lost it all, but God…

That’s it, that’s all - my heart was dealt with by the one and only who’s the most trustworthy - GOD. So even in the midst of a whole lot of hurt I was still grateful, I had to make myself choose gratitude because honestly God has been that good to little ole me.

Let me ask you a few questions:

  • Are you in a dark place? (You’ll know)

  • A confusing place?

  • Sinful/ revengeful state?

If you answered yes to any of those, let me be the one to tell you — you are not too far gone. God has pulled me out of the most bleakest/darkest moments. I am a witness telling you… God can and He will pull you out, he’ll heal your broken heart and even with the issues flowing from your heart you’ll choose gratefulness.

You’re in good hands, when you’re in God’s hands.

Until tomorrow… mind your HEART (whatever that may look like for you).

Peace, love, happiness, and obedience!
