in walks joy

in walks joy

…weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
— Psalm 30:5b

In the midst of the craziness of this current season, God is doing a work in me. This is probably the most uncomfortable I’ve been as far as being out of my comfort zone. I may have finally come to realize that times like these are necessary. Times like these when all we can do is pray, weep and wait on joy to come… because it’s coming. You have to get through the darkness and it may seem like it’s taking forever for morning to come, but it’s coming.

This particular topic on joy makes me think of a woman I admire. Her name is actually Joy and anyone who knows her would literally say that she is a JOY to be around. When she comes into any room she lights up the place with her bubbly outgoing personality. She rubs off on you so much that if you were in a bad mood before and you’ve been in her presence the joy she has gets on you and even after she’s gone you now have a little bit of joy. God knew what He was doing when he had her Mama name her Joy, it’s just so fitting! (Love you Joy)

Ok so back to my point… This is a tough season for some of us, but no worries JOY might be taking a little while to get here. Cry yourself to sleep, wake pray and ask God for peace of mind, and learn to cultivate a JOY that even when things aren’t going the way you would have imagined you still can smile instead of frown.

This one’s short because I have to meet my deadline… I’ll be back tomorrow!

Peace, Love, Happiness, and Kisses!
