confusion & chaos

confusion & chaos

The pandemic brought with it a level of confusion to our world, everyone wondered what this invisible force was that was attacking immune systems causing some to have terrible symptoms and others to not have any symptoms. Some people made it thru to tell their stories and others didn’t. You had some you thought it was a conspiracy theory. Some doctor’s said to wear mask because it would help decrease the numbers. Some medical professionals said otherwise. CONFUSION and uncertainty weighed heavily on several hearts and still do. Not to mention there is no vaccination for this particular disease.

As I type this post… my heart is heavy because COVID-19 came knocking at our door. But by the grace of God our story is much different from the horror stories I’ve read and seen. Please take it seriously, this disease is real and you don’t know how it will effect you or your family. You can pray and have faith that God will bring you through this and still wear a mask, social distance, and watch your church services online.

So we simultaneously have confusion and chaos

The chaos that came with the lost of beautiful black lives Ahmaud, Brionna, and George (there have been so many others) due to racism and lack of care for the value of human life specifically black lives. The emotions behind the loss of those lives invoked riots, fires, rage, and anger. Enough is enough and because most people were not working due to the pandemic or out of school they had the time to do what they felt needed to be done. But then you had the people who were completely oblivious to why these deaths were wrong and refused to understand why people yelled “Black Lives Matter.”

Being black has been exhausting to say the least… it seems that no matter what we do we have not been seen as equal since the establishment of the “not so” United States of America.

Trying to fight off a pandemic and prove your life matters is a bit much.

How else did they think some would respond after watching those horrific videos of people who look like them or someone they know have their lives be taken.

Well ya’ll I’m tired and emotional… I’ll blog with you all tomorrow!
